You want to grow yourself
but you are not sure how. Or have you never written down a plan? See,
everything needs plan; it can be a study plan or a trip plan. When you lack a
plan, you are more likely to not get 100 percent results in your task. A basic
day plan consists of sleep time, lunch time and more. It even better
when you have a detailed plan. So, if you ever feel lost, you can quickly go
through the plan. After this, you’ll again be back on track. This blog all
about personal growth and its plan. Let’s start.
What is Personal growth?
Personal growth differs from person to person. It depends upon their abilities and interests. But overall it is process that improves your behavior, habits and actions. Only making a plan would not do but you should strictly implement on it. Taking action makes changes. You should also have a positive mindset to develop yourself. What is personal growth to you? Having a defined goal, having a good physique, becoming an extrovert? The definition of personal growth differs. For me, personal growth is developing yourself day by day. Planning and making a journal really helps you become a better person and helps you grow.
How to make a growth plan?
Step 1: Define your priorities
The first thing you need to do is differentiate between your strengths and weaknesses. You surely have priorities and passion too. Focus on things in which you wanna get better. Talking about me, I definitely want to improve communication skills. So a personal growth plan will help me have better relations, fluent communication and a better future. Note your important areas and those fields where you want expand your knowledge in. so try ranking your areas in life in a scale of 1-10 based on your satisfaction. Think on what you really want in life. Then after define your priorities, think on why is this priority; will it impact you even after 5 years? If not choose another priority. Then what are your goals? Thinking about passion is a big deal, so it would take days. The more you think about your passion, the more you grow to a next level.
Step 2: focus
Everyone is good at something or have skills in some areas. In the first step, after you rate your skills, now it is the time to start focus on your plan. In your skills list, you rank them in priorities order. Better choose those areas which you are most excited about. In this step you will answer to the question, which areas I want to work first?
Step 3: Brainstorm
When you think about personal growth, immediately some ideas may come in your mind. That’s brainstorming. Maybe you will show up with even better ideas. So, set a tie and brainstorm without stopping, think all those goals you want to achieve 20 years from now. After this, you’ll come with many ideas and you can easily implement on it. Just answer the question “why”. Why are you here? Why are you so committed towards this passion? Brainstorming will help you feel more encouraged and committed towards personal growth.
Step 4: Creating plan
First thing you need to do here is set a time to work on your plan.1-2 months maybe a good idea. You can throughout measure your progress in that period. Keep working hard every next day and you will truly see your progress. Nothing should distract you in between. Now this is the time to write down all your plans and goals. Proper plan helps you to get alert and limit distractions. To write the plan, choose a sound environment and avoid distractions. Effective planning helps to build confidence, create a purpose and make the planner alert. In the plan you should include:
Focused area
Current score and goal score
Daily habit and time allocation
Step 5: Implement
This step is more important then creating a plan. If you just make a plan to frame it, there’s no use. If you wanna stick to your plan, setting a remainder would be a good idea. Evaluate yourself in the time period. If you’re still not improving maybe you skipped some plans or you aren’t following it effectively. Tell your friend about your plan, so when feels tired implementing your friend will help you encourage.
Step 6: Measure your progress
After the implementation, now it is the time to know how much have you developed? Writing down the plans aren’t enough. When you realize you haven’t developed yet, you can upgrade the plan anytime. You are the motivator to yourself. If something is not going well, it is the time to change. If you want to get better results, it is very important to measure your progress. This is the last step towards making a personal growth plan.
What are the pros of planning?
If your goals go beyond the grasp, it is the result of not planning. Planning improves your self confidence and helps you always be on track. You are already productive if you make plans. You have to brain storm so it definitely makes you creative. Planning helps you to remember things at right time. You can also keep track on how much are you progressing. Writing plan not only allows you to examine your life but also keep track on your progress. And the most important, it helps to undercover your passion.
