I’ve seen people who are often angry and can’t handle situations.
In this hectic life, people take tensions even in minor conditions. We just
forget to calm down even in critical situations. Worrying much can have a worst
impact on our health too.
When you’re having a tough time how will you react is very
important. If you start panicking, everyone around you gets tensioned and you
start to panic everyone. But when you’re calm enough, you’re able to calm
everyone around you.
Today’s blog is something about being calm every time. It helps
you to handle situations. And the fact is a calm person in general can make
wise decisions and is able to achieve goals.
Practice meditation
Meditation already has unlimited benefits but is also very
beneficial to calm down. See I’m not suggesting you to start meditating in
critical situations; it would get awkward. I am suggesting to starting yoga
from today. Meditation is a life savor believe me I have tried it.
Meditation helps to reduce anxiety. It also helps you to become a cheerful
person.
Stay positive
I have already told this in a lot of my blogs. This proves how
much staying positive is important. When you are in hectic
situations, your mind goes through a lot. The reason can be negative thoughts.
The more your mind thinks the more difficult it gets. To stay positive there
are many ways; you can write a journal everyday, listen to a good music and
celebrate small victories.
Take care of yourself
Firstly you should be strong enough to deal with bad situations. For
that you should eat a balanced diet, have a sound sleep and workout regularly.
Exercise helps the body to function properly and it also helps to calm down.
Only after improving your health, you can have a control towards emotions.
Understand
Understand the situation. Why is your staying calm important in
the situation? Why your anger or grievance is needs to calm down? If
you’re calm enough what will be the impact of it towards the people; observe
that. Focus on things that you can control and don’t worry much on
uncontrollable things.
Listen to “your” music
Music has that power to boost people up. Play your favorite
music and calm down for a while; you’ve been through a lot. Remember your
childhood, what was your favorite music back then? Play that one. You should
also listen to the relaxing music that might help you.
Think
Instead of panicking, think what should be done to calm you. You
have enough time so panicking is never an option. Step by step start doing
things you love, start dancing for no reason, or maybe sing your favorite song
as you're comfortable. Do not let your time go in a waste. Try doing
productive things everyday.
Right place
You might have your favorite places to visit. Go to those places
and relax. Don’t stress out your mind and just calm down. If your favorite
destination needs a plan, plan it now or never. You can also go for a walk or
jog. You can hangout in a beach? Woods? Or even a restaurant would go.
Follow your hobby
Every one has their own thing of interest. Well talking about
mine, I love to write blogs and doodle. So whenever I get angry or sad, I try
pursuing my thing of interest. If you’re a book reader, you can read a book.
And yes, whenever you're angry and irritated, I would suggest you to listen
some motivational video, audio and other.
Deep breathes
Personally this works best for me. Whenever I am irritated, angry,
and nervous or having mixed emotions, I try practicing deep breaths. When
you’re in hurry, you can take 5 deep breaths in and out. Whenever you’re free
repeat it. You can try this even if you’re calm.
Stop searching perfection
Life isn’t perfect, neither you are. You have to face good
situations and equally bad times; that’s life. Can you show me a perfect
person? No because there isn’t one. So let life go as it is, one day your
problem is gonna get solved and you’ll be happy again. So stop worrying on
things and try relaxing how much bad time it is.
Bigger picture
Think you’re in a stressful situation. And you’re worrying to make
things perfect. Now ask yourself how much the situation is important to you. Or
how many days are you gonna get stressed. A month? A year? A decade? No! My
point is stopping taking over stress on things out of your control. And there
is solution of everything in the world; so don’t take stress.
Take care of your Physical body
If you can take care of your body, you can definitely handle the
situation. To take cae of your body, the things you need to do is exercise
regulary, have a balanced diet and a sound sleep. Excercisisng has ability to
calm you and reduce the stress. By following these things you can have self
control and imprive your feelings.
Contact a close person
You may have persons by support you in hard times; contact them
and share your feelings with them. This is also a best way to calm down. When you
share your emotions with people you love; it is helpful to reduce stress and
calm down. While talking with that person, you are more likely to get the
solutions of your problem too. Communication is a very effective way to get a
solution.
For conclusion, the things I recommended you above are the things
you should start to calm and relax. But you really don’t remember these things
when you’re in a negative situation, so start following these tips from today
and make it a habit. If you are going through a severe condition of worry, you
must consult a doctor.
