We can sense emotions around us. We all have feelings but your feelings and my feelings towards the same thing are different, right? What mistake we often make is, seeing and sensing things through other people’s view. We mostly tend to agree on other people’s perspectives. And this should be stopped, we don’t necessarily should agree with people’s view.
Why did I just say about feelings and people’s perspectives; because our topic for today is leadership. And leadership is all about looking and analyzing things differently. Leaders see the world differently and you can become a leader too. That’s only possible when you stop fearing the world. That’s only possible when you stop agreeing on everything people say if you aren’t agreed with it. Leaders see a world full of opportunities and exploration. Most of us fear being compared or judged. But it’s your life and you should do whatever you want. People aren’t going to stop criticizing you. A leader is also criticized but they do their own. When people start to mind their business, they listen to them shelf only, this is when they become a successful leader.
This blog is particularly focused on women leadership and how to encourage more woman to become a leader.
Women can take to be strong leaders
For so long, women have had to adjust to the male-dominant culture. From past times women have always been taught to be an ideal woman from a society perspective and that is so limited to cooking, makeover, marriage, and all of this. We women aren’t born to just marry and have kids. We are born to become leaders. We are born to address challenges and take action.
Women leadership is not much talked about. Today, there are powerful women’s who have pushed the boundaries of gender equality and are serving the world as a leader. But in today’s world also there is a still woman who gets beaten by their husband, who faces discrimination, who is not allowed to go to school, why because they are a girl. Wow, what a concept. From online to social media, we always hear news of a GIRL being raped or abused on an everyday basis. This news, people nowadays don’t take seriously because it is happening every day. Let’s not make it so late that one day girls will be getting raped and people will be watching. This needs to change. It would be a great future when women’s at a table are teamed up to make a decision, won’t it?
How can one encourage a woman to become a leader?
Talk about leadership
We should talk to young girls about leadership and woman's success stories. Leadership should be taught to children at a young age. This builds confidence in them and it will encourage girls to become a leader one day. After getting known about leadership, she will create opportunities and influence others one day.
Role model
For young girls to dream becoming a leader, she will first look up to her elders. Yong girls will understand leadership more from what they see and observe from the elders. We can make simple changes in our actions so that it might make a positive leadership impact on girls. Elders should also encourage girls by leadership storytelling's or by making them participate in different national and international platforms.
Information about the system
Girls at a very young age should be given information about the political scenario, gender equality, United Nations. They should be made to watch the news and understand the scene of the country in a small age.. this way, they will slowly be understanding how the world is like in the future and how can they make an impact.
Track progress
Now that you are done reciting success stories and they are understanding the system of the country and politics, measure their progress. By now that they have started to understand things, you should analyze what sector does she show more interest in. for example, if your daughter or sister shows interest in politics, engage her more with political information. And in the future, if she wants to become a politician, you should let her be. She will turn into a political leader.
Conclusion
The world requires great leaders, be it in politics or business. But women's leadership is something not talked about a lot. Women leaders are a must in the 21st century. To encourage women to become leaders, we all should empower them with leadership roles. This is quite a difficult task; it requires all of us to support not only women but all gender to become a leader. You can be a leader.
